Num dos posts aí embaixo, critiquei a exposição “The Kate Show” que vi no FOAM – museu de fotografia em Amsterdã, e questionei os limites da arte contemporânea. Não satisfeita em criticar, fui atrás dos fatos.

Eis a resposta que recebi da direção do FOAM:

“…We noticed that journalists wrote their own pieces on this show that had nothing to do with the actual artwork here in our museum, so that proved to us that the media just create a story around her that hasn’t got much to do with Kate herself, copying her image, using it over and over again in different ways, as the curator was trying to say with it.

Actually, the curator of this exhibition was Olivier Zahm, chief editor of Purple magazine in Paris and also a close personal friend of Kate Moss. He told her about the show and she said she trusted him to do a good job and make it into something interesting. She herself was not interested to see it and she didn’t come, but she was not bothered by it in any way.”

Ok, a exposição atingiu seu objetivo e provou seu ponto. Teve a autorização de Kate Moss que confiou em seu amigo e nem foi conferir o resultado. Parece que não ficou chateada.

Talvez eu seja a ignorante aqui, mas não queria ter um close friend desses não… Bom, talvez eu não servisse mesmo para essa vida de celebridade 🙂
